Sanjay Kumar Das is a seasoned public administrator with over 27 years of experience, currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Science & Technology & Bio-Technology Department of the Government of West Bengal. He has spearheaded significant initiatives in digital transformation, including the KarmoBhumi platform, which connects IT professionals with local firms, and the Self-Scan mobile application, enhancing digital privacy. A key figure in West Bengal's cybersecurity landscape, he established the state's Cyber Security Centre of Excellence and has contributed to embedding cybersecurity education in polytechnic curricula. His accolades include the DSCI Security Leader of the Year Award 2024 and multiple national awards for his contributions to governance and cybersecurity. With a background as an Intelligence Officer and advanced degrees in law and business, he is also a published poet and co-founder of UDDYOM, an NGO focused on education and poverty alleviation, continuing to influence technology-driven policy and administration in the region.
